The Directors of Octaviar have extensive and wide ranging experience in finance, investment, tourism, property management and property development. The current members of the Octaviar Board are:

Paul Manka

Independent Chairman

Paul entered the financial services industry in 1985, holds a Masters in Business Administration (MGSM), and is a Certified Financial Planner and a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia. Paul has been a director of Octaviar Limited (formerly MFS Limited) since its incorporation on 4 February 2004.

Paul has held a range of positions within the financial services sector, including various board and management positions, and continues to provide financial advice to a broad range of clients.




Christopher Scott

Executive Director

 Chris Scott is the founder of the S8 Group which was acquired by Octaviar (formerly MFS Limited) in December 2006. He is a significant shareholder in Octaviar. Chris graduated with first class honours in Economics from Latrobe University in Melbourne. He was awarded the DM Myers University Medal in 1977.

Chris has over 23 years experience in senior management positions. He was managing director of S8 Limited from inception through to listing in 2001 and guided it through over 30 successful acquisitions. He relocated to Singapore in 1978 and established a road transport business (Road Express Pty Ltd) which provided refrigerated freight services from Southern Thailand to Singapore and overnight cargo express services from Singapore to Malaysia.

Chris then set up American Freight Services Pty Ltd. The company was an inbound handling and marketing agent for Brennan International Transport Inc which, by 1995, became the second largest outbound sea freight consolidator in the USA.



David Burke

Non-Executive Director

 David holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Tasmania, a Masters Degree of Education from the ACU and a Graduate Diploma of Education from Sydney Teachers College. David works with Australia's leading government, financial and transport organisations in leadership and organisational development. 

His clients range from large ASX listed companies through to government and government-owned organisations. He has worked extensively in advising on leadership development, change management, dispute and conflict resolution, team development, managing stakeholders' expectations, cultural development and product marketing.

David lectures throughout Australia, the United States and Europe on organisational development. David is a director of a number of Australian Financial Services Licensees and has experience in the financial services sector.



Barry Cronin

OAM
Non-Executive Director

Barry is a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia and has extensive practical experience in the property and development industry having practised in that area for 35 years.

He is a director of a number of other public companies, privately funded charities and community associations. Barry joined the Octaviar Limited (formerly MFS Limited) board on 17 August 2004.
